Margaret Sekelsky is the MS in MSMedia. Owner Margaret Sekelsky has been a leader in the pro audio and music industry for many years and served as Group Publisher in United Business Media/CMP’s (now Future) Entertainment Technology Division, for magazines such as Pro Sound News, Surround Professional, and Systems Contractor News, working in conjunction with the sister MI titles including Guitar Player, Bass Player and Keyboard magazines.

 

On the event side, Sekelsky has produced, directed, and worked on a vast number of industry events such as the Surround Conference & Surround Music Awards Series, Music Tech Expo, Studio Biz, Vocal Mic Invitational Series, Digital Audio Workstation Invitational, Digital Studio Series, DVD Conferences, DTV Audio Conferences, Media & Entertainment Summits (MESA), Content Protection Summits, Bass Player Live! and the Recording Academy Grammy Producers & Engineers Wing Events and many others.

Sekelsky served as publisher of several tradeshow Daily magazines, including The AES Daily, The Toy Fair Times, The Motivation Show Daily and The Premium & Incentive Show Daily. She was the founding publisher of a number of custom publications for clients including Sweetwater’s Music Production Toolbox and Guitar Center’s Center Channel, as well as custom publications for Harman and Sony Professional.

MSMedia has built successful public relations and marketing campaigns for clients such as Solid-State Logic (consoles), BASF/Agfa (storage products) Sony Professional (broadcast and video). Most recently, MSMedia has provided media and PR services for clients such as Audix (microphones), Celestion (Guitar and PA Speakers,) IsoAcoustics (acoustic isolation stands), Lectrosonics (Wireless,) QSC (live sound systems and control ecosystems), the AES (Audio Engineering Society), MESA (Media & Film/Home Entertainment) and the Sports Video Group (Sports Broadcasting.)

Most significantly, Margaret Sekelsky has managed sales teams, built marketing and PR programs to boost and support sales teams, and created new programs and products to help generate sales.
